WINTER 2022/2023

Description: This class is opening to new and returning students who would like to learn more about the different people and jobs involved in creating a production, in addition to the actors onstage. Students will learn about the fundamentals of directing and design, and will apply those concepts to imagining the set, lighting, and costumes for their own production as if they were the directors and designers hired to work on the piece. On the final day, students will “pitch” their unique production to family and friends, AND members of Playhouse on Park’s Production and Artistic departments! in the style of a mock interview with the producers who would be putting on this production. Production selection to be determined by the Teaching Artist! This is an EXCITING way to get to know the ins and outs of a production from behind the scenes!

Tuition: $140, with $15 registration fee
